Sea Bound
the silent song of latent emotion
resonates deep within mortal marrow
that arcane ballad only hearts can hear
racked notes thrummed upon the rootless’ taut chains
tell me old wizard of cryptic hexes
what lessons doth wait in fate’s enigma?
I’ve become bound in this blinding darkness
with its mysteries and lachrymose pains
how long must I tread in this barren ocean?
weighed by the cicatrix of fault’s stigma
tragic are the sounds of Sirens’ allure
as their beauty comes while my great sea drains
if I could I would drown in love’s potion
a beautiful end for this old sigma
I wrote this poem in the form of a bref double.
