Shifting Gears

Shifting Gears

Oh what I would do
to spend time with you
a dream.
The love I’d imbue
your heart would renew
we’d beam.

I’ve pined for ten years
and swallowed my tears
for you.
But now that cloud clears
Life’s shifting its gears
who knew?

Our paths are unknown
but my how we’ve grown
have hope.
Twin flames doth now roam
and will find their home
elope.

I wrote this poem in the form of a Lai.
