Lotus Eater

Lotus Eater

My waking thoughts are fed to dreams,
Made so perfect, or so it seems.

I wish I could sleep forever,
Binds ‘round my heart might sever.

Off this lovelorn wire I teeter,
And become the lotus eater.

Then I could sail your cobalt seas,
Feel the caress of your soft breeze.

Fall deep into your azure sky,
In your warm heart is where I’d die.

Who else in this world could know me?
Just an ancient soul that’s lonely.

I wrangle hope to feed my dreams,
So I can rest where true love beams.

I wrote this in the form of a cyhydedd fer.
