Catharsis

Catharsis

All my days are nights beneath a sabled Sun,
I am chained to the departed, flogged by time,
All my desires have been combined into none,
Cast into the void of cosmic paradigm,
I am a chimera of the past and dreams,
An obscured man annealed by mortal extremes,
My soul is scourged deep by the whet blades of loss,
The bright sheen of passion is losing its gloss,
My megalith of endurance is dying,
Why won’t gods take me? I’m done purifying.
