Evanesce

Evanesce

Beneath the willow’s weeping umbra,
I evanesce amidst these sallows,
In a shadow’s faint penumbra,
From all their branches I see gallows.

From veiled wood into mirrored meadow,
A sacred pond, liquid silver crown,
But I reflect on hearts gone fallow,
And can only see a place to drown.

I meander back beneath the grove,
To imbibe myself to sleep with soave,
And evanesce into shadows’ gray,
Just to endure another dark day.

I wrote this poem in the form of a cyhydedd naw ban.
