Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith

Without a second thought she leapt,

Into my arms, my heart was swept,

A memory for which I’ve wept,

Her heart I’ve kept, her heart I’ve kept.

She swam not, but jumped in the sea,

Putting all her heart’s trust in me,

My treasure for eternity,

Love endlessly, love endlessly.

This poem is written in a form called a monotetra, which consists of quatrains in tetrameter with mono-rhymed lines, the final line of each stanza repeats the same four syllables.
