From Silver Shade

We’ve been asleep all these years
floating through a sea of tears
neglected love left dormant
hopeless torment wracked with fears

Our fate tires of these dark skies
smoldered hearts defiant rise
phoenix borne from silver shade
where heartache made our souls wise

Find the warmth for which we’ve yearned
and passions past lovers spurned
let us melt in deep embrace
 divine grace of love returned.

I wrote this poem in the form of a englyn cyrch.
